The single crystals of lead magnesium niobate-lead titanate solid solution,
(1-x)[Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3]-x[PbTiO3] (PMN-PT) are a new
generation of piezoelectric materials. The new material was formulated to exhibit very large
electricmechanical coupling coefficents, high piezoelectric coefficents, high dielctric constants
and low dielectric losses that results in improving bandwidth, sensitivity and source level in
applications.
